For low-slope roofing we prefer to use EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene M-class rubber). This system is primarily a commercial application, but its popularity is growing into the residential market. We are a certified installer, allowing us to certify commercial roofs, providing a manufactured sponsored 20 year labor and material warranty. Residential applications are 10-year material warranty. Although the warranties only provide up to 20 years of coverage, test have shown these rubber membrane systems exceeding a 50-year lifespan.
EPDM Rubber roofing is one of the most common materials used for low-slope roofing. Property owners and managers prefer to use rubber roofing because of its low cost and there are no odors or fumes that come along with the installation of this roof.
